About Us

What We Believe

Our faith is rooted in the Word of God. These are the core convictions that shape who we are and how we live.

Grounded in Scripture

At Followers of Jesus International, everything we do flows from our belief in the living God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We hold the Bible as our final authority and seek to live out its truth in every area of life.

The Bible

2 Timothy 3:16–17

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God — the supreme authority for faith and life.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

The Trinity

Matthew 28:19

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in nature, distinct in person.

"The Father is the creator and sustainer of all things. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. The Holy Spirit is the presence and power of God at work in the world and in believers."

Jesus Christ

John 3:16

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father.

"Jesus is the only way to the Father. His death paid the penalty for sin, and His resurrection conquered death. He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead."

Salvation by Grace

Ephesians 2:8–9

We believe salvation is a free gift of God received through faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by works, but by grace.

"Every person is born in sin and separated from God. Through repentance and faith in Jesus, we are forgiven, born again, and made new. Salvation cannot be earned — it is received."

The Holy Spirit

Acts 1:8

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering them to live a godly life, bear spiritual fruit, and serve the body of Christ.

"The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, guides believers into all truth, and distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the church. We welcome the full work of the Spirit in our lives and community."

The Church

Matthew 16:18

We believe the Church is the body of Christ — a community of believers called to worship, grow, serve, and make disciples of all nations.

"The local church is God's primary vehicle for discipleship and mission. We are called to love one another, bear one another's burdens, and proclaim the gospel to every person on earth."

Prayer

Philippians 4:6

We believe prayer is a vital conversation with God — a privilege and a discipline that transforms individuals, families, and communities.

"We are called to pray without ceasing, to bring every need before God with thanksgiving. Prayer is not a last resort — it is our first response. We believe God hears and answers prayer."

Eternal Life

John 11:25–26

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead and the reality of eternal life — heaven for those who trust in Christ, and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him.

"Death is not the end. Jesus said, 'I am the resurrection and the life.' Those who believe in Him will live, even though they die. We live with the hope of eternity and the urgency of the gospel."
